Northwest Magic Boys Basketball is entering Season 21 with a continued commitment to player development, competitive basketball, strong coaching, and building young men on and off the court.

Our boys program continues to grow while staying rooted in the Northwest Magic standard:

Northwest Magic provides a structured basketball pathway for players who want to develop their game, compete at a high level, and prepare for what comes next.

Every Northwest Magic player is part of a program designed to help athletes continue progressing from season to season.

SEASON 21 BOYS TEAMS

Our Season 21 boys program includes teams and development opportunities for players from elementary school through high school.

Teams are placed in competition based on their current developmental and competitive level, with opportunities ranging from local and regional play to national-level events.

Our goal is not to force every team into the same pathway.

The right competition. The right development. The right next step.

As players and teams develop, opportunities increase.

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

Player development remains at the center of the Northwest Magic experience.

Our players have access to regular team practices along with additional training opportunities throughout the week.

Development includes:

SKILL DEVELOPMENT

Ball handling, shooting, finishing, footwork, passing, decision-making, and position-specific development.

BASKETBALL IQ

Learning spacing, reads, offensive concepts, defensive concepts, transition basketball, and how to understand the game.

COMPETITIVE DEVELOPMENT

Learning how to compete under pressure, respond to adversity, communicate, and make winning basketball decisions.

PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT

Conditioning, movement, athletic development, and preparing players for the physical demands of higher-level basketball.

LEADERSHIP & CHARACTER

Teaching accountability, confidence, teamwork, communication, and responsibility.

PRACTICES & TRAINING

Northwest Magic boys teams practice twice each week, with additional player-development opportunities offered throughout the week.

Season 21 boys practices are primarily held in the Tacoma area.

Practice and training locations may include:

Truman Middle School

First Creek Middle School

Meeker Middle School

and additional Northwest Magic training locations.

TeamSnap ONE is the official home for individual team schedules, practices, training opportunities, tournaments, parent meetings, and program events.

Families should always refer to their TeamSnap ONE calendar for the most current schedule.

TOURNAMENTS & COMPETITION

Northwest Magic teams compete in tournaments appropriate for each team’s developmental and competitive level.

Our tournament structure may include:

• Local competition

• Regional competition

• Washington travel events

• Pacific Northwest events

• National opportunities for qualifying teams

Tournament schedules are built intentionally around the needs and development of each team.

HIGH SCHOOL BOYS

Northwest Magic is continuing to expand our high school boys development pathway.

Our high school programming provides players an opportunity to stay in the gym, continue developing, compete, and prepare for their upcoming high school seasons.

Fall opportunities include:

• Once-a-week training

• Twice-a-week training

• All Access training options

• Additional weekend development opportunities

• Opportunities to compete in select fall tournaments

Training is led by Coach Will and Northwest Magic staff.

Our high school program is another extension of the Northwest Magic development model:
