We are excited to announce that there are still roster spots available on our 17U, 16U, and 15U teams.
Magic is actively recruiting through tryouts, workout evaluations, and referrals to fill these positions.
To ensure we find the best talent, we will be hosting final tryouts in February 22, 2025 (1215pm-215pm @ Thomas Middle School ) for any remaining open spots. We encourage you to stay updated by following our social media channels and visiting our website for further details.

3rd-8th Grade
Welcome to the Northwest Magic Youth Programs! We are dedicated to providing exceptional development opportunities for young athletes in grades three through eight.
Our comprehensive program helps players enhance their skills, builds confidence, and fosters teamwork through competitive play.
Youth Program Overview
Age Groups:
Third Grade through Eighth Grade
Opportunities Offered:
**Nike Junior EYBL** (Seventh and Eighth Grade)
**National Made Hoops Circuit** (Winter Months for 6th, 7th, & 8th grade)
**Local & Regional Play** (Year-Round)
Team Structure
At Northwest Magic, we typically feature two teams in each age group:
**National Team**: Competes at a higher level and participates in elite competitions, including the Nike Junior EYBL and the Made Hoops circuit.
**Local/Regional Team**: Focuses on skill development and competitive play within local and regional leagues.
Our Philosophy
Our mission is to meet players where they are in their development journey. We emphasize a player-centered approach, allowing young athletes to grow at their own pace while providing the necessary support to reach their full potential. It’s not uncommon for local players to transition to national players during their time with Northwest Magic, reflecting our commitment to holistic player development.

NW MAGIC COACHES AND ADMINISTRATORS ARE WELL RESPECTED BY COLLEGE COACHES AND HAVE DEVELOPED RELATIONSHIPS WITH COACHES FROM MAJOR NCAA DIVISION 1, DIVISION 2, DIVISION 3, NAIA, JUCO, & TWO YEAR COLLEGES LOCALLY & NATIONALLY. MAGIC COACHES WORD TIRELESSLY WITH AND FOR OUR ATHLETES TO FIND THE BEST COLLEGIATE OPPORTUNITY POSSIBLE.
PRACTICE & TRAINING CAMP
WEEKLY TEAM PRACTICES & PLAYER DEVELOPMENT OFFERED YEAR ROUND. PRIOR TO NCAA LIVE PERIOD, NW MAGIC MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN A SERIES OF MINI CAMPS AND PRO STYLE TRAINING CAMPS.
STAFF MEMBERS
NW MAGIC MAINTAINS THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF INTEGRITY FOR OUR STAFF MEMBERS. OUR CRITERIA OR SELECTION PROCESS FOR CHOOSING COAHES IS EVIDENT IN OUR COACHES APPEARANCE, DEMEANOR, AND INTERACTION WITH YOUR CHILD. ALL STORM COACHES ARE USA BASKETBALL CERTIFIED. THROUGHOUT THE TRAINING PROCESS EACH ATLETE WILL BE ENCOURAGED, VALUED, AND RESPECTED. THEIR WELFARE AND SUCCESS WILL ALWAYS BE OUR PRIMARY CONCERN.

USA BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
The USA Basketball U.S. Open Basketball Championships allow youth the opportunity to compete under the standards and guidelines set forth by the National Governing Body. Top finishers at approved qualifying tournaments around the country will earn official bids to participate in the championship events in Indianapolis, Indiana.
JR NBA GLOBAL CHAMPIONSHIP
The Jr. NBA Global Championship is a first-of-its-kind global youth basketball tournament for the top 14U teams from around the world. The tournament will feature boys and girls divisions, each comprised of 16 regional champions (eight U.S. teams and eight international teams) that will compete in the championship in August at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World® Resort near Orlando.
