PROGRAM FEES & TRAVEL OVERVIEW
Clear breakdown of what your tuition covers and how travel cost are handled across Northwest Magic teams.

PROGRAM / REGISTRATION FEES
Your season tuition/registration supports the overall operation of the program and your athlete’s development experience throughout the season.
This includes:
* Team Practices
Two practices per week, gym rentals, and structured player development
* Coaching & Player Development
Experienced coaches leading practices, games, and mentorship
* Tournament Entry Fees
Registration and coordination for scheduled team tournaments
* Insurance
Team/player coverage
* Recruiting Support
Exposure platforms, communication, and player promotion
* Media & Program Development
Photography, social media, branding, and program resources
* Program Operations & Technology
TeamSnap, communication tools, scheduling, admin support, and overall program structure
These are the fixed costs required to run a high-quality, organized program for all teams
COACH TRAVEL FEES (SEPARATE FROM TUITION)
While coaching is included in your program fees for practices and local development, coach travel for out-of-town tournaments is handled separately.
Why is this separate?
Travel costs vary by event (flights, hotels, gas, per diem).
Instead of estimating and building this into tuition—which can lead to families overpaying or underpaying—we calculate the actual cost of each trip and split it evenly.
How it works:
* Travel costs are calculated per event
* Total cost is divided among rostered players attending
* Shared with families before payment is due
Example:
Flight $450 + Hotel $300 + Per Diem $90 = $840
$840 ÷ 10 players = $84 per player
Typical range: $65–$90 per player per event
(Due approximately 4–6 weeks prior to travel)
Important to Know:
* Coach travel fees apply to all players participating in that tournament
* This applies regardless of how your family travels or lodging choices
* These fees are not optional for tournament participation
* We only charge actual costs (no markups or estimates)
WHY WE STRUCTURE IT THIS WAY
* Keeps tuition lower and more predictable
* Ensures families only pay for actual travel costs
* Maintains full transparency across all teams
* Allows flexibility based on each team’s travel schedule
FINAL NOTE
We understand that every family’s situation is different, and we truly try to balance:
High-level programming
Fair and transparent costs
Clear communication
PROGRAM FEES & TRAVEL OVERVIEW- FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why isn’t coach travel included in tuition?
A: Travel varies by event, so we charge actual costs to avoid overcharging families.
Q: Do I still pay if I don’t stay in the team hotel?
A: Yes. Coach travel is shared among all participating players regardless of lodging.
Q: Is this fee optional?
A: No. It is part of participating in out-of-town tournaments.
Q: When will I know the cost?
A: Typically 4–6 weeks before each travel event.
